Microsoft today has officially unveiled an all-new version of its To Do application as it continues to integrate features of the Wunderlist platform it acquired in 2015. The company touts that the new To Do application is a major upgrade, with a new design, deeper integration with other platforms, and more. The To Do app features a more “polished design,” according to Microsoft. The company says colors have been overhauled, while there are also new customizable backgrounds and smaller headers....

Windows Phone has not been the greatest success story in the world, and Microsoft’s purchase of Nokia to produce its own handsets looks to have been an even bigger flop. The company today announced that it is writing off $7.6B against the Nokia business – more than it paid for the company in the first place. Microsoft has also revealed that it will be laying-off 7,800 staff – more than 6% of its workforce – over the next few months, mostly from the Phones business … CEO Satya Nadella said in an email to staff that the company would be moving away from attempts to grow its phone hardware business....

Skype is treading water, having just released a horrific Mac update to its chat software but building passable software on iOS as well as other platforms. Update: Microsoft has now confirmed that MSN and Hotmail email accounts were also breached. Microsoft has revealed this morning that a hacker was able to access Outlook.com accounts for several months. As detailed by The Verge, Microsoft discovered that a support agent’s credentials for Outlook.com were compromised for a 3-month window. Microsoft says that a hacker had access to the support agent’s account from January 1st through March 28th, 2019. The hackers could view email addresses, folder names, and email subjects, but not actual emails themselves or attached files....

Recently I was able to get a great deal on X-men Apocalypse on Google Play. It was cheaper to buy than any of the other services. So, after I bought it, with Movies Anywhere, it shows up in my movie collection on all devices — Apple TV, Fire TV, etc....

Everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a sidekick. Carol Danvers has Maria Rambeau, T’Challa has Okoye, Peter Parker has Ned Leeds, and Stephen Strange has Wong. But the most important MCU characters actually have two sidekicks. Thor has both Loki and Heimdall. Steve Rogers has both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. And Tony Stark has both James Rhodes and Happy Hogan.
