Earlier this summer Evernote limited the free tier of its note-taking service to use on just two devices while raising prices for its paid plans. While the move was clearly intended to make Evernote’s business more sustainable, reaction from a lot of vocal users was to switch from Evernote to OneNote or Apple Notes. Now Microsoft has responded with a new import tool that lets OneNote users pull in content from Evernote....

Windows 10 Preview Build 19608 The company is adding a search box to the default app experience. According to the announcement, “We’re adding the ability to search the lists of file types, protocols, and apps when setting a default.” The Your Phone app is getting a new way to seamlessly drag and drop files between your devices. U.S. students and teachers have been able to get free access to Microsoft Office 365 since 2013, and the company has now extended the deal to a range of other countries. Qualifying students and teachers can install the latest version of Office on up to five Macs, as well as a further five mobile devices. Metro Exodus, the third entry in the Metro series, is different in quite a few ways from its predecessors, but one of the biggest changes involves its crafting, customization, and upgrades systems. While the previous two games contained at least some elements of these systems, Metro Exodus pushes it to a whole new level, offering more freedom and accessibility than ever before. The My People feature which was brought back in build 16184 now supports sending and receiving of emojis and notification badges from pinned contacts on the taskbar. Pinned contacts on the taskbar will also display a counter for unseen messages. If you find this feature distracting you can turn it off in taskbar settings.
