These are preview versions of the new-style of Office apps and are available for Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926 which includes the new Windows Store beta. The easiest way I was able to find them was search for “office preview” rather than each app by name. There was an issue earlier today though, it seems people were finding it difficult to actually download the apps. Thurott reports Microsoft has updated its 365 product roadmap with mention of Files On-Demand finally rolling out to macOS users. Initially offered as a preview in September of last year to Mac users, no formal word was made by the company as to when users should expect a widespread release. While the site reports not all users are seeing the macOS version available, the rollout (which began yesterday), should hit most users in the coming weeks....

Microsoft Outlook for iOS is being updated today with a new design. What you’ll see isn’t a dramatic change, mostly ‘subtle changes here and there’ – with one exception, borrowed from the Android app … The Verge reports that Microsoft is bringing in the blue header design initially used only on Android. Microsoft bought the task management app Wunderlist back in 2015, and today the company has released the first public preview of its eventual replacement called To-Do. Microsoft’s new To-Do app is available to try on iPhone now, and preview versions for iPad and Mac will soon follow. The Midsommar trailer offers the first look at writer-director Ari Aster’s horror movie followup to Hereditary, starring Jack Reynor and Florence Pugh. Aster made the jump to feature-length filmmaking last year with Hereditary, which is currently A24’s second-highest grossing film in the U.S. after Lady Bird. Microsoft is looking into accidental Halo 4 bans. Players who downloaded the free Crimson Map Pack are no longer allowed to access certain online parts of the game. Now Halo 4 owners are who downloaded the DLC are voicing their frustration on the game’s official forums. As website Kotaku notes, this is not an account ban, it’s only locking players out of portions of online gameplay. Regardless, it’s a major annoyance for fans of the series....

Microsoft is rolling out an update to some its Office iOS apps today that includes a handful of new features for the Word, PowerPoint, and Excel iPhone and iPad apps. Among the new features, all three apps get support for viewing protected documents and Outlook integration. For Outlook, users now have the ability to “send a document as an attachment in Outlook. Or directly edit a document attached to or linked from an Outlook email message....

Microsoft is today rolling out an update to its Office apps for iOS devices bringing the ability to save to iCloud and tap into storage from other services across all three apps. The update is available today for Microsoft’s Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps for iPhone and iPad.
