You have to feel a little sympathy for Microsoft. At a time when everyone wants to be writing apps for iOS first and Android second, Windows 10 is left out there as a platform people might get around to if they have time. But the company seems to be compensating by beefing up its efforts to both sell its services to iOS developers and create more iOS apps.
WinBeta reports that the company is planning on throwing a party for iOS developers immediately after the State of the Union at this year’s WWDC at Twitter HQ immediately behind the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
Microsoft-owned Xamarin will be pushing its cross-platform software development tools too which offer multi-platform development tools that are useful to iOS developers. The companies will also likely be pushing Microsoft’s Azure cloud backend for iPhone and iPad developers to take advantage of, and perhaps seek help in writing more iOS apps. Who knows, perhaps Microsoft will try and persuade developers to write for Windows 10 too.
