I brought up this issue early when the company started releasing cumulative updates for Windows 10 in my article: Windows 10 Gets New Cumulative Update KB3081455, Should We Know What’s in These? At that time, in response to a Twitter user, Gabe Aul stated: “We don’t do full change lists, it is too tough to manage and doesn’t really add any value.” That response certainly didn’t win over any fans, especially those who control a networked environment.

Microsoft Launches Windows 10 Update History Page

Microsoft appears to be listening to its user’s complaints and today launched the Windows 10 Update History page. This type of transparency is what hardcore fans of Microsoft and Windows 10 have been wanting to see for some time now. Today Microsoft launched a new cumulative update KB3135173, and we linked to the update history page where you can see a full changelog of what the update contains. Even the Support page for today’s cumulative update contains more data about the update than is usually provided. The good news is that we can now go to the Windows 10 update history page to always have a list of what’s happening with the new OS. What’s your take? Are you happy that Microsoft is being more transparent about its Windows 10 cumulative updates? Leave a comment below and let us know your thoughts. Trying to resolves this for me (a person with a smattering of ignorance about computers) impossible since the microsoft site is devoid of any realtime-real people support. All the articles I’ve read are more gobblygook than helpful suggestions. I’ve got three machines giving me this error serendipitously and all serve different purposes and have very little in common. Windows 10 worked well all around since aug and now its turning up to be a pain in the ass. State the problem in common user terms and state what the update will accomplish in user terms. We should not have to rise to their level of computer knowledge at the user level; they should come down to ours. Thank you, P Anyway some update information is better than what we have had so somebody in MS may have heard us & may even be trying to make improvements on our behalf in the background – perhaps against pressures. So many thanks MS for this welcome advance! So far…………… Comment
