Meizu is fully ready to unveil its next flagship, the Meizu 16 along with Gravity speakers on 8th of August. While we are a couple of days behind the launch event, the phone has already crossed 1 million plus bookings, and are increasing more and more with time.

There are many reasons that make people excited about this phone. For most of them, the primary reason might be absence of a notch, unlike most of the flagships present out there. Also, the phone is expected to come with a screen to body ratio of nearly 91.14%, while the phone’s screen maintains symmetrical design from all the sides. Meizu will be using a flagship Snapdragon Soc for the first time! The use of Mediatek chipsets in past have effected their sales by a great extinct. The best example can be taken as making such innovative phones like the Pro 7 and the Pro 7 Plus flop.

J. Wong, the founder and CEO of Meizu has been revealing the specifications of the phone since a few days. Also, he has been active enough to interact with some users and consider their suggestions too. While some people think that it was a wrong move as the hype for the launch event will get almost finished, but it proved to be a right move for Meizu. People knowing the specifications and expected price of the phone became interested and started pre booking the phone.

Meizu will launch 3 phones on 8th August, Meizu 16, Meizu 16 Plus and Meizu 16X. The 16 and 16 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 845, whereas 16X will be powered by Snapdragon 710. All three variants will have an under display fingerprint sensor. The 16X will also be a little different in terms of looks from the 16 and 16 Plus.

Rumors have also started rising in China that after the launch of Meizu 16, Mi 8 and One Plus 6 will reduce their prices in order to remain in the competition.
