The Real Housewives alum Meghan King Edmonds’ husband Jim admits he called the police on her. The MLB player defended his choice in calling in law enforcement because he wants what is best for his children.
When Meghan King Edmonds first made her debut back on The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2015 on the 10th season of the hit show, she was not a fan favorite due to her learned personality. She left the franchise after season 12 and numerous fights with her co-stars. King Edmonds married Jim Edmonds in October of 2014 and has three young children - daughter, Aspen, and twin boys, Hart, and Hayes. Back in June, the couple nearly split after Meghan found out that Jim had engaged in sexting with another woman. The two agreed to try working through their issues in counseling. Meghan revealed in October that she and her husband of five years have called it quits in a lengthy interview, detailing what she calls an abusive and controlling relationship after alleging that she had proof of her husband having an affair with their children’s nanny.
According to sources (via People), Edmonds is very concerned about his children’s safety and confirmed he was the one to call the police on his wife. The local police were called out to King Edmonds residence to perform a welfare check on her children. The ex-baseball star told the police that he had become concerned about his wife’s ability to care for all three children.
In a statement released by the 49-year-old, he said that he did indeed “call the police” before his wife returned home as to not have a public incident. Edmonds went on to say that because he chose to call the police at that time, there was no outburst or embarrassing event. According to Edmonds, he was at home with their three children, taking care of them while his wife was out having a few drinks with her friends. When the cops arrived, all the children were asleep and King Edmonds was getting ready for bed herself. The officers questioned her while her husband stood nearby; in the end, the police determined that she was fit to care for the three children.
To many Real Housewives of Orange County fans, it appears that the two are playing a game of tit-for-tat. It first started when King Edmonds accused her husband of cheating, after which point he counter-argued that she had actually cheated on him. The housewife denied these rumors and went on to openly announce the identity of the mystery woman as Carly Wilson. Fans are hopeful that King Edmonds will resurface on the newest season of the hit Bravo show to explain all the craziness going on at her home.
