Medisafe, a popular medication management platform and iOS app, announced this week that it now supports Health Records on iPhone. This allows users to easily track their medication list without manual entry, all from the Medisafe application. Medisafe was announced as an early adopter of Apple’s new Health Records API back in June, and now the feature is rolling out to users publicly. Microsoft is making notable improvements to its storage offerings for its OneDrive cloud-based service. The company is announcing today that OneDrive storage at the free tier will be more than doubled, Office 365 storage will see a major increase, and that there will be storage price drops across the board. Here are the three main announcements in more detail: Currently, OneDrive’s free tier includes 7GB of storage. This storage is accessible via the OneDrive apps on iOS, Android, Windows, and on the web, and much like Dropbox and the upcoming iCloud Drive, it can store files of all kinds....

Microsoft is out with a nice update to its Office for iOS suite today, adding 3D Touch quick actions to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users as well as promised Apple Pencil integration on the iPad Pro. The latest versions of the Office suite also changes how fonts are handled and improves document search on iOS. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel each now feature 3D Touch shortcuts from the app icon on the Home screen when deep pressing with the latest iPhones....

Microsoft has enabled Touch ID support to its email and calendar app Outlook today. This introduces a level of security not yet seen in any other major emailing application. Since its acquisition of Acompli a year back, Microsoft has slowly been revamping and adding new features to their purchase. Supporting multiple email account and cloud storage services, swipe options, Skype integration, and now Touch ID, Outlook is becoming quite a formidable email application....

Disney+ is bringing The Mighty Ducks back to life with a new 10-episode live-action series starring Lauren Graham. The new series will be based on the franchise created by Disney in the early 1990s. The Mighty Ducks spawned three theatrical movies, an animated series that aired on ABC, and even a real-life team that has been part of the NHL for nearly three decades. A live-action series has reportedly been in development since January 2018....

Through its Skype division, the company has launched a new cross-platform app for iOS, Android, and (of course) Windows Phone called Skype Qik. The premise of the application, as can be seen in the video above and screenshots below, is simple: you can record a quick video, and then share it to either one person in your address book or multiple groups of people....

At Build 2020, Microsoft’s annual developer conference, the company announced a new service called Microsoft Lists. Today, the app has been made available to download from the App Store. Microsoft Lists is a Microsoft 365 app that allows users to track and organize information in smart lists. Designed with teams in mind, the service makes it easy to follow issues, assets, routines, contacts, inventory, and more while keeping everyone on the team synced....

I don’t have any inside information about what Microsoft plans to highlight at the April 5 event. But I have a few guesses. First, I would assume we could see a peek of some so-far-undisclosed features coming to the Windows 11 – both later this year and around October in the all-up Windows 11 22H2 feature update. Given Microsoft’s recent focus on tweaking search in Windows 11, perhaps we’ll see more on that front....

The dismissal means the Office of Australian Information Commissioner’s (OAIC) lawsuit against Facebook, now Meta, can finally be heard in court after being stuck in court purgatory for almost two years. The lawsuit had been held up as Meta attempted to have the case thrown out through submissions that it does not conduct business nor collect personal information in Australia, which are requirements for an entity to be sued under the country’s privacy laws....

After having to scrap its plan to offer an iOS app due to Apple’s App Store policies, Xbox is officially moving ahead with the web-based xCloud public beta for iOS. The release comes after an early preview last year that gave a first look at xCloud running on iPhone, iPad, and more. The first Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to start playing titles on iPhone, iPad, and PC tomorrow, April 20, via the web....

Mimeo, a popular third-party printing service that works as an integrated plug-in with Apple’s Photos app for macOS has announced the option to order photo prints including everything from wallet size to portrait and all the way up to large format panoramas. Photo books, calendars, and cards were all possible before but starting today, Mimeo is offering the option to easily order photo prints to Mac users.
